But the more Michael researched energy efficient systems, the more he wanted to push the envelope and experiment with green concepts. “I was excited by the new building technologies introduced over the last fifteen years,” explains Michael. “It occurred to me that no one had looked at all of them at once by vetting them out and putting them all in one building.” Out went his idea for a simple weekend house, and in came the concept of a livable lab.
